Dr. John Rodriguez-Feo is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon serving patients in North Alabama. He specializes in comprehensive spinal care, including nonoperative and operative treatments for the neck and back, including pinched nerves, radiculopathy, spinal stenosis, cervical spine disorders, and much more. He has the expertise to determine when surgery will be of benefit as well as the knowledge and expertise to perform both minimally invasive and traditional spine surgery techniques depending on each patient’s individual needs. This includes motion-sparing surgery and robotic-assisted spine surgery so that he can decrease the patient’s recovery time while improving pain and increasing function.

Dr. Rodriguez-Feo was raised in Fairhope, Alabama. He grew up watching and learning from his father, who is also an Orthopaedic surgeon and learned from an early age that he wanted to be able to help people like he saw his father do. He went on to complete his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, on an academic scholarship and graduated with Highest Honors, First Honors, and Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biology. From there, he attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama, at UAB, where he was also on academic scholarship.

He and his wife then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where he completed his orthopedic residency at the combined OrthoCarolina and Carolinas Medical Center – now Atrium Health. Dr. Rodriguez-Feo then graduated from the combined Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical Spine Surgery Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he performed complex spinal surgical care. While in Atlanta, he worked at Emory University Hospitals, Grady Memorial Hospital, and the Atlanta VA Hospital.

Dr. Rodriguez-Feo returned to Alabama and joined The Orthopaedic Center, where he sees patients from all over Alabama and southern Tennessee at offices in Huntsville and Madison. He and the TOC spine team operate at the new Huntsville Hospital Orthopaedics and Spine Tower, which is the only Orthopaedic specialty hospital in Alabama.

When not taking care of patients, Dr. Rodriguez-Feo most enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

He is currently accepting new patients and looks forward to developing a collaborative plan to determine the most effective type and timing of treatment options to help you with pain relief and return to activities.
